For Alyssa's lunch today, we practiced using some actual lunch containers that fit in her lunch box.  She loved her Minnie & Mickey lunch and ate everything.  Success!!!  I packed her some ham & cheese sushi rolls, a trail mix with Greek yogurt covered raisins, cranberries and sunflower seeds, Ants on a log with cream cheese & dried cranberries, a few sour worms, container of strawberry yogurt, a clementine and a few Greek yogurt covered pretzels.  I decorated the lunch with a Minnie Mouse and a Mickey Mouse cupcake ring.

So excited!!!  My delivery from All Things For Sale got here last night.  VERY happy with all of the products.  Alyssa helped me wash and organize everything and we already used the egg molds.  Looking forward to the weekend to try some more things out :)

Alyssa's lunch today is themed "Home is where the heart is".  We have a jam sandwich in a home shape with fruit leather for the window and door, chocolate cookie sticks with watermelon as the trees, cheese & Bologna on home made heart skewers, fresh blueberries with strawberry hearts and a couple of heart shaped candies.

Made a quick stop at my local Dollarama today after work and found some great supplies!  It's only a mid-size store so i'm excited to visit one of their larger ones this weekend.  I have a photo below of some of my finds.

So I found a great cupcake decorating set with 24 cupcake cups and 24 matching picks, a really cute set of 50 mini cupcake cups, 2 great sets of cookie cutters, a set of sauce containers, some colored tooth picks (for home made picks) and some colored party forks.  I also got a great 3 drawer storage container to keep my picks all organized.

Well I made a quick afternoon snack Bento for Alyssa this afternoon with a bit of a teddy bear theme.  We have a yogurt tube (Alyssa's favorite), a clementine with a teddy bear cookie and a trail mix with Greek yogurt covered raisins, dried cranberries, cashew pieces and a few mini gummy bears.  Another homemade pick as well.
So on Saturday night I pre-made Alyssa's lunch for Sunday.  Even though we weren't going anywhere, with a 3 year old and a 1 year old, anything I can get done while they are asleep is a blessing.  I have an order on the way from All Things For Sale with some really cute bento supplies, so right now I am improvising.
On Sunday we are having baby carrots and cucumber with hummus, a hard boiled egg, ham and cheese kabobs, Ritz crackers and a box of Smarties.  There were also pretzel sticks with the hummus that didn't make it into the photo.  She ate everything and LOVED the kabobs withe stickers on top.  I made the skewers by using toothpicks and cutting off the sharp ends and then putting two stickers back to front with the toothpick in the middle.  Worked great.
Practice makes perfect.....  Well lets hope.  So I know it's only July but i'm a little compulsive and can't just wait around for September so here we go.  I have bought some supplies, looked for some ideas online and am ready to get started.  A Saturday lunch prepared in my baby girl's lunch bag for while i'm at work today.

So today Alyssa has Cheddar Cheese & Bologna Rollups, Nutella Sandwich in a butterfly shape with a butterfly gummy on top, Greek yogurt covered pretzels, raspberries and blueberries with some chocolate chips and a homemade trail mix with Greek yogurt covered raisins, dried cranberries and raw sunflower seeds.
